Director- Service Delivery: FHI 360

FHI 360 is seeking qualified candidates for the following position subject to the condition that FHI 360 is successfully awarded the Health System Delivery Project.

Position Title: Director- Service Delivery

This position is for an upcoming position on a project and is dependent on project award

BASIC FUNCTION:

The Director, Service Delivery will be responsible for a four-year project aiming to secure technical services for the implementation of activities under the new NGO health service delivery activity. The purpose of this project is to support the delivery of an essential service package through a network of non-governmental organization clinics that primarily targets the poor and underserved. The Director, Service Delivery will be responsible for achievements and progress of this project to USAID Bangladesh and FHI 360.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •     The Director, Service Delivery will be responsible for a four-year project aiming to secure technical services for the implementation of activities under the new NGO health service delivery activity.
  •     The purpose of this project is to support the delivery of an essential service package through a network of non-governmental organization clinics that primarily targets the poor and underserved.
  •     The Director, Service Delivery will be responsible for the achievements and progress of this project to donor and FHI 360.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  •     A minimum of 12 years in health service delivery projects in developing countries, including a minimum of 6 years at a senior/managerial level in large service delivery projects in resource-poor environments highly desired.
  •     Experience working in the private sector/NGOs required. Understanding of the Bangladesh service delivery structure desirable.
  •     Experience as a service provider highly desirable, preferably in Family Planning and/or Maternal and Child Health.
  •     Demonstrated success as a team builder and leader.
  •     Experience with quality assurance highly desirable.

MINIMUM RECRUITMENT STANDARDS:


  •     A minimum of Masters-level degree in health-related area; clinical degree or MPH highly desirable.
  •     Strong written and spoken English required; Bangla and knowledge of the region is an asset.
